Ice Cream Sandwich Cake

For our family dinner today, my mom and I decided to try something new for dessert. My mom saw a pin on pinterest for an ice cream sandwich cake that looked really easy and really yummy! It was a big hit! And so simple. The recipe comes from this blog, and it's so yummy!

Here's the recipe:
24 Ice Cream Sandwiches (we actually ending up using more to fit into 9x13. Not sure if our sandwiches were smaller than hers or what.  But we used about 30.)
Cool Whip, 16 oz. I'm not sure how big our container was but we had extra!
1 jar of caramel sundae topping
1 bag of your favorite candy chopped (we used Reese's)

You make two layers- Lay out half of the ice cream sandwiches to fully fill the bottom of the pan. We had to trim the last 5. Then put on half of the cool whip and top with caramel topping. Then lay out half of the chopped Reese's on top. Definitely hard not to keep sneaking pieces of them.

Then repeat and you end up with a beautiful concoction! (Forgot to take a picture).
