Everything that happened in May/ Last week of school

I have only one day left of high school. It's a very bittersweet feeling, and I'm not even sure what to say about it. It really hits you when you start writing in people's yearbooks, and you realize that you're not going to see a lot of these people again. There's been a lot of "lasts" this past while- last band concert, last newspaper issue (with my lovely long editor goodbye letter! haha), last Zion concert...down to the last photo assignment. But I definitely have to say that Senior year has been the best year of my life so far...so many good memories and great friends! =) I'm going to miss high school, and all the people I will miss when I'm hundreds of miles away in Utah!

The month of May had so many crazy things happening...that I'll just give a little month in the review WITH PICTURES. because I happen to have the time.

So, May 1st of course, was my 18th bday!!!!! and We didn't have school until super late so we went out to Flames! And Kassie surprised me with balloons waiting for me in my 2nd period, and Sarah made me an amazing teal checker-board cake.

Let's see then there was Senior Ball with my amazing and tall date named Dallin. We went with Crystal and Mike, and Mary and Nolan.

Then the next day me and my mom immediately left for DISNEYLAND, and met up with my entire familia.

She's pointing at my Incredible shirt!!! sooo fun. Frozone did it too!

And here's my cute nephew fighting the dark side

So I got back from Disneyland on that Wed night (May 14), and the next day i was packing to leave for Clear Lake with Zion's choir. It was so amazing....I got some crazy tubing action! (sadly no pics of that though)

Then the next Wed was my last band concert EVER. goodbye saxophone! notice our lovely senior corsages.

Memorial weekend was spent at our friends' friend's beach house (my fav place!) and seeing Beauty and the Beast downtown.

Claire is sooo cute!

And May 29th was honor night- woohoo...the things around my neck are for NHS, quill and scroll inductee (for journalism), and Summa cum laude.

BYU here we come!

besides those events....newspaper was this past weekend. Talk about busting my butt to make it a good last issue, by spending mucho time on the senior destinations page (then i forgot the military people!) I was there until 1:30 am on sunday (meaning it was then Monday). I had 7 pages to lay-out because of all the senior pages (wills, miss mosts, advice, etc) plus the regular feature pages. Anyways, I will miss it and all the crazy times I had with the other editors (HAHAHA....), but it was definitely a lot of work. Hope you guys enjoyed my senior goodbye letter ;)
