Courage

I stumbled on this awesome quote from Thomas S. Monson in his talk "The Call for Courage".

"Life’s journey is not traveled on a freeway devoid of obstacles, pitfalls, and snares. Rather, it is a pathway marked by forks and turnings. Decisions are constantly before us. To make them wisely, courage is needed: the courage to say, “No,” the courage to say, “Yes.” Decisions do determine destiny.

The call for courage comes constantly to each of us. It has ever been so, and so shall it ever be."

I know I need a little more courage, especially since these next few years will contain some very important decisions in my life at every turn that will "determine my destiny." But I've been noticing this summer especially that I need to pay more attention to the little decisions in my life, as I continue to shape and mold myself. This includes my daily actions of how I spend my time; daily decisions of whether to read my scriptures, and telling myself- yes I'm going to exercise today. =p In addition, the need to heed the small promptings that may come during the day... like reaching out to a friend.

P.S. We've painted my room at my mom's house and it's a very brilliant and bright shade of teal. :) I love it!!!
