Thanks Dad

I hope everyone had a great father's day!

I spent the day sleeping in, trying to sleep off a cold I was getting. I think it worked! It didn't progress too much! And I enjoyed dinner with my family.

Being in college, sometimes I just reallllly wish I could talk to my dad. I miss his endless supply of knowledge. He was a wikipedia all in himself! He seemed to know everything about anything! Especially science, math, history, and the scriptures. He passed away near the end of my freshman year in high school. I was just finishing Algebra 2. I had to survive calculus without him- one of his favorite subjects. I stayed after school a lot to get help since my own private math tutor was gone. I had to learn how to drive a car without him, graduated high school, and I wish he was here. Especially to see all these grandkids grow up! But I know for the important events, he's watching. My mom and I always feel that he's there at the baby blessings! I'm grateful I did get him as my dad for almost 15 years, and I am so thankful for the gospel and atonement, that I know I am sealed to him forever! And I will see him again. I'm thankful for all the lessons he taught me about service, the gospel, and everyday knowledge.
