Time is flying

Less than 2 months until I leave on my mission to Columbus Ohio! Though with the announcement of FIFTY-EIGHT new missions today, my mission is being split! The Cincinnati Ohio mission is coming back! So there's a good chance I might be re-assigned. Who knows? I don't think the new missions officially start until July, so it'll be interesting to see what happens. If the boundaries are somewhat what they were before it might look something like this. Pink is my current assigned mission. Yellow is the old Cincinnati mission. So I'm thinking the top of Kentucky will no longer be in my mission.

What else have I been up to? Well I still have my calling of gospel doctrine teacher. I teach about every 3-4 weeks.  My ward also just stuck me into the Relief Society presidency-I'm the assistant secretary. A surprise with only being here for two more months, but it will be a short but sweet calling. I'm already loving working with the other girls in the presidency and one of my main roles is to plan/pick the weekly visits to girls in the ward. So I guess it's a form of mission prep. ;)

BYU basketball, one of my faves. I really wanted to go to the Marriott Center for one of the games before I left, so my mom and I decided for the Utah State game to buy tickets half hour before the game started. It was awesome! We had some sweet seats only 8 rows up, and we ended up sitting directly behind Brooke Walker from Studio 5 on KSL. That was fun since we watch it everyday. She asked me what I studied and where I was going on my mission. And when my mom told her we also sat in the row next to her for Mary Poppins, she declared us "practically bff's." I was glad that we spontaneously decided to go to the game so we could see this beauty of an ending:

We also got to stop by and see Crystal the night before her surgery to remove the cancer in her leg and put in the APC (Allograft Prosthetic Composite).

Occasional babysitting, monthly family dinners, lots of t.v. shows (and I mean LOTS), scripture study ( I actually need to be even better at this), ward activities, bad sleeping habits, and exciting family news (my sister is pregnant!). I'm going to be sad to leave home in less than 2 short months and to leave my mom but if the Lord wants me in Ohio, he wants me in Ohio. I'm excited to be an instrument in His hands and to see what He has in store for me. The Lord is hastening his work (58 new missions!) and it's an exciting period of time in the church!
